The Connection at St Martin’s

At Embankment Summer Market 2015, we were delighted to have The Connection at St Martin’s as our charity partner. At this time of year, more than any other time, they need your support…

The festive season is really difficult when you’re homeless and can be a painful reminder of the absence of close relationships with friends and family. Throughout the Christmas period The Connection is there for homeless people reducing the isolation and loneliness they may feel. The Street Team ensures vulnerable people sleeping out get the help they need. The centre provides companionship and support, and also festive fun including games, activity groups, roasts with all the trimmings and even a visit from Father Christmas with lots of presents!

The Big Give Christmas Challenge 2015

Get online at midday on the 4th and 5th December and you can help give access to gardening for homeless people!

For people who are socially excluded, or who have poor mental or physical health, gardening is enormously beneficial. This project will be giving homeless people the tools and training they need to create and manage their own urban gardens, and eventually to cultivate and maintain a section of the new Garden Bridge.

If you donate through The Big Give’s website at midday on Friday 4th and Saturday 5th December, your donation will be MATCHED, making it DOUBLE! This is a fantastic way to make your donation go so much further!
